Spike And Earl
Spike & Earl sits on the between Peckham and Camberwell and is owned by the genius's behind Old Spike Roastery; it's basically too good to pass by. With a cracking happy hour as well, there are no excuses.

Albion
On a sunny Saturday
(we don’t have many of those in London), Jake and I headed to Albion for a
brunch before heading into the depths of Shoreditch and Stoke Newington Church
Street to enjoy the adorable homeware stores! Albion has always been one of
those places on my list, so I was very pleased to try it out.

Lights of Soho
Based on
Brewer Street this hidden gem is full of all things we love, they describe
themselves as “a social enterprise, members club and gallery that supports the
creative community”.

Brunching at Bronte
Bronte is a Tom Dixon
designed restaurant based right by Trafalgar Square, that is perfect spot for a
brunch. Martha and I headed here one Saturday morning as a belated birthday
treat for me. We have a mutual love of the British designer Tom Dixon, so this
surprise was delightful.

Welcome Back...
Hello there!
You may have noticed a 'radio silence' had fallen over Split the City for the past few months. As much as we've missed it we felt the blog had lost a little direction, and we found ourself creating content for the sake of it. We hold our hands up; the quality dipped. So we've gone away, had a think and we are back now, stronger and more focused.
Split the City, from here on in, will be purely London focused! Bringing you the best of our beloved city including everything from theatre to fitness classes, we could not be more excited! We've got so many exciting posts already, and looking at the blog in a new light has really made us fall back in love with London, there truly is no place like it.
You can now expect posts twice a week, one on a Monday and one on a Friday! So keep your eyes peeled for brilliant reviews, and maybe a little giveaway too...
All our love,
Nikki & Martha

Reecey Roos, Camberwell
I'm not a beauty kind of gal, you'll see on the blog that most of that is left up to Nikki. I love to look nice and feel nice, of course, but I don't find myself endlessly searching for beauty looks. HOWEVER, my one big beauty indulgence is my nails. Something about having a kick ass manicure/pedicure just makes me feel extra awesome.

La La Land ★★★★★ | Review
I left the cinema speechless. Quite frankly I would say it was overall, one of the best movies I have ever seen and I don't know where to start to tell you about it.

Day 12 - Here Goes Nothing... | 12 Days of Christmas
Just a short post to say hello to 2017, and tell it we're not scared...
If we can agree on anything, it's that 2017 is going to be a year that could really divide us all; politically, economically, environmentally... No matter what side of things you come down on, you understand that this year may be tumultuous, and so I think it's easy for a lot of us to feel doomed. I feel a bit doomed. But with that attitude, I am doomed. With that attitude I am defeated.
Moving into 2017 here a few things I know for sure.
