Sosharu is a new restaurant
by the fantastic Jason Atherton that opened in March 2016 in Clerkenwell, London.
It's Executive Chef Alex Craciun really impresses with a mouth watering menu and
each and every member of staff is clearly passionate about the service and food
they serve.
Broccoli Tempura, kimchi dressing
Smoked Octopus, seaweed alad
Sukiyaki Wagyu Beef, glass noodles, young leeks, shitake
Lobster Sashimi
Chicken takitori, shishito pepper, slow cooked egg
The Wagyu Beef dish is
a must. It is cooked at your table and really one of those must
experience dishes. The Broccoli Tempura was also a dark horse we just got this
as a side not thinking they'd be much to write home about but this is
where Jason Atherton and Alex Craciun impress everything is flawless and precise on the menu so
this was so delicious, coated with Parmesan; it is a cheese lovers dream. Sosharu describes itself as as izakaya restaurant which in Japanenese is translated to a relaxed gastro pub, in terms of the restaurant ambience/vibe it does encompass this however the food is a different story. This is a restaurant on the expensive side however I can truly, honestly say the overall experience justifies the price.
We finished the evening off with a tour of the new 10 seater restaurant, Kietsu by Executive Chef Alex Craciun. This opened this week on Monday 15th August and is located inside Sosharu. It's intimate look and chefs table style is perfect and sure to be as successful as Sosharu.
Sosharu is worth a visit - perfect for date night or a girls dinner. I would highly recommended you go and go soon. I'll certainly be back in the very near future.
Lots of love,
N x
