    Confessions of a Snackaholic

    As you can read all about here, I've packed in eating chocolate (currently, just for Lent, but I just might carry it on). However, this trying time has made me realise a very important truth about myself; I, Martha Watson Allpress, am a snackaholic. I can't help it, it's who I am!

    I always eat three, good sized portioned meals during the day, but it's simply not enough, especially now I'm working out more. Snacking's actually good for you! It keeps your metabolism constantly running and your bodies digestive system working over-time, all good things! However, the issue being, I used to snack on Twirls and what do I use now?

    Here are my Top 5 Healthy Snacks:

    1. Peanut Bounce Balls
    I've literally been having them every morning as my brunch snack. They're super tasty, just the right amount of a sugar kick, and protein heavy too, which is ideally complementary for workouts!
    Not exactly the cheapest of snacks, but if you head to Wholefoods and buy them in bulk, I'd say it's worth it.

    2. Eat Real Lentil Chips
    I'm the luckiest girl alive, in that my very basic work canteen actually bulk stocks, and sell these bad boys. At first glance, they grey-ish packaging may put some people off. Let me assure you! These are packed with flavour and make an ideal snack or meal accompaniment.

    3. Tea with Organic Rowse Honey
    I guess it doesn't count as a snack, but I'm trying to learn the difference between when I'm hungry, when I'm thirsty, and when I'm just bored. So this seems like a good middle ground. It's ideal as I'm a tea fanatic anyways, but adding the organic honey just gives it an extra boost and leaves me a little more satisfied than an average beverage would.

    4. Quorn Scotch Eggs
    Packed full of protein and super low in calories (3 scotch eggs are 96 cals), these are a 100% winner for me. Being a life-long vegetarian, I'm more than acquainted with Quorn, but I've always struggled with's just a bit too eggy for me? But these little treasures are bite sized, not overpowering, but definitely filling. Winner winner (fake) chicken dinner!

    5. Propercorn 
    It's taken me a while to jump on the popcorn me it's a cinema snack and not something that's going to keep me going throughout the day. Well, I'm a convert, thanks to Propercorn. I love that they do savoury flavours, and I find them much more satisfying than the sweet; a real light snack but it feels the same as munching on a pack of crisps. So good!
