    Halloween Baking Delights!

So I am a huge fan of Halloween and celebrations in general! So this weekend Martha and I decided that we would have a Halloween baking day. We started the day following a pizza making session on the Friday, we made a Halloween playlist ready for my Halloween party so it was a winning evening all round. In the morning we headed to Borough Market, which is an amazing food market in London Bridge. Any foodies heaven!! We took a stroll had some lunch and a delicious juice then headed back to my place to get the baking day underway.

I'm definitely not an avid baker but I love to give things a go and I really enjoy when I bake so maybe I'll start doing it more often(I think it's all the dishes after that I have to wash up that puts me off - oops haha). We made delicious chocolate cupcakes by following the basic recipe and let them cool for 10-15 mins after baking then in the oven for 15-20 mins on a 180 degree heat.

Now, I have never probably done cupcake decorating, unlike Martha. I  was pretty excited, we had orange and black icing and our piping bags so we were ready to go. We made spiders, nooses, scary faces and went all out with some scary words. We are not pro bakers, but I couldn't recommend it enough. So grab your best friend this weekend or next and have some Halloween baking fun. We would love to see what you bake so feel free to share with us using #StCbaking on Twitter/Instagram.

We hope you enjoyed reading about your Halloween cupcake day. We'll be posting a few more exciting Halloween posts in the lead up to Halloween so keep checking back.

    Lots of love,
    Nikki x
