    Taste of London 2015

After visiting Taste of London last year I knew I was not going to be disappointed going this year. For those of you who don't know what Taste of London is; it is a huge foodie festival with too chefs and restaurants across the UK showcasing some of their delicious food. AEG sponsor the food theatre where you can watch some of the best chefs prepare and cook one of their signature dishes.

I wanted to share some of my highlights from Taste of London with you. WARNING: this might make you hungry!

    Glastonbury Picks

Well the Glastonbury gates have no opened, and allowed in a swarm of excited attendees, including our very on reporter-in-the-FIELDS (get it), Jazz Black. We sent Jazz packing with a nice little bag of goodies; Hawaiin Tropic, Hair Chalk and Batiste Dry Shampoo, picture below; to review whilst she's out there.
But before it gets so muddy everyone forgets about the music, here are my Glasto picks:

    The Diner

You may have noticed that both Nikki and I tend to lean to more independent places, rather than chains, when it comes to food and drink. It hard not to do this when you live in London; there's such a magnificent amount of hidden gems in this city, that finding one always feels like an achievement. But I'm breaking tradition in this post, an ode to The Diner.

Techbitch Book Launch | Hosted by Mulberry

On Wednesday Martha and I were very kindly invited by Mulberry to join a very exciting evening. It was the launch of Techbitch written by Lucy Sykes and Jo Piazza published by Penguin. On the cover it states "If you love Devil wears Prada you'll love this" for me that and the title won me over. The book is retailing at £7.99 and I am already half way through, it is just one of those books you can't put down. I will give an update when I have finished it to let you know what I thought.

Restaurant Review | Mas Q Menos

    Hello!

So today I want to share with you another great find, Mas Q Menos. We were in a car driving through Holborn and Dejon pointed it out. We wanted to go to Soho so we carried on but in got out my little book of restaurants and scribbled the name down. Mas Q Menos translate as More than Less. After getting out of the car we walked down Wardour Street to see what would take our fancy. We stumbled across another branch of Mas Q Menos. Perfect.

    Collection 2000

I have to admit, although I don't always wear make-up, I am a little bit of a beauty snob. I'm immediately drawn to the more expensive brands because I think that, they have to be good to warrant their prices. However, I have been let down by this assumption a fair few times.
Then I realised I could be really missing a trick! Do the beauty bargains do the same job as those luxury cosmetics?
The two beauty items that are necessities to me, is a damn good, gothic lipstick, and nail polish. My usual uses are the lipsticks from & Other Stories, and the classic Chanel red nail polish.
I went into Superdrug to see which was the most affordable brand going, and I stumbled across Collection 2000. So I invested in Lasting Colour Lipstick Shade 20 Plum Sensation and Seven Day Wear Nail Polish Dark Blue. For both items I only had to spend £4.98 from Superdrug. Now did I pay less for less quality, or did I pay less because I've been a mug for the last few years? Well...

    Bedroom Blitz

As I have started a new job this week, I wanted to go into it with a clear mind and a fresh attitude; for me nothing feels better than coming back to a organised, clean, gorgeous bedroom! So, with  my (slightly belated) spring clean I went in full throttle; an interior decor haul, if you will! So, I'm sharing with you my bedroom blitz!

Top 5 Places in London For a First Date

The First Date is an awkward thing, and next to impossible to get perfect; you may not know the other person too well, you have no idea if they'll love paintballing as much as you, or if they'll laugh as loud at a kids movie. First Dates are all about discovering eachother, and your compatability.
This list is for those who need a little inspiration...or want to take the long-term partener on a first date all over again. Either way, you should think about these five great options:

    May Favourites

Another month gone, and May really was a great one!
One half of Split the City was in London sampling Spa London, London Fields Fitness Studio and other great places, whilst our other half was off sunning herself in Bermuda, then strutting around New York City like a modern day Carrie Bradshaw.
So here they are, our May favourites...
