I know the blog has been quite food-heavy as of late, and I promise to endeavour to branch out a little more (starting tomorrow with some Hip Hop colouring in...keep your eyes peeled), but when the food is as good as it is at Mildreds, then a girl's gotta blog!

My lovely company for the evening was my adorable bubbalicious, Katrina, and as we're both vegetarians, Mildreds had been our hot-spot list for a long while.
We began by sharing the Mexan Platter - DIVINE, Jalapeno quessadillas with goats cheese?! ...um yes, more please. And I am a sucker for anything served with guacamole. I was so excited by this mountainous starter, I almost left no room for my main. This would've been a crying shame as my main dish was a miracle on a plate!
I opted for the pasta of the day, and Katrina went for the Indian Okra burger...naturally we dipped into each others too. My cheesey pesto pasta, with sun blushed tomatoes and asparagus tips, was so heavenly. I know I'm throwing around a lot of superlatives but none of them do this food justice!
All I can say, is in every single bite, it's evident that Mildreds is dedicated to finding new and refreshing ways of shaking up the (occasional mundanity of) vegetarian diets.
I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be returning, once my stomach has deflated.

Any veggie hotspots I should try out next?

    ... M x
