    Dalston Food Strikes Again!

Dammit, I went foodie again - sorry, not sorry.
This week I enjoyed a cute little lunch date, with my lovely health fanatic friend, on Kingsland Road. Reilly Rocket is the perfect place for a quick lunchtime get-together, from its cozy interior decor to its packing-a-punch food, every last detail is meticulously thought through, ensuring everyone who walks in that door is welcomed and relaxed.

Do go for the food, because the food is great, but I'd say it's more likely the lovely atmosphere that's keeping this place full of smiling faces.
Both floors have big windows, allowing the sun to burst in (I'm also sure the windows would be comforting if it were raining), and the palm tree wallpaper really hammers home that sunny-Melbourne vibe. Here's the lovely Lucy feeling all happy...
Foolishly, I didn't sample the coffee every other reviewer raves about, but I ate my way through a plateful of heaven. I got the traditional Welsh Rarebit, which arrived looking so appetising I almost did not want to ruin it. The portions are fair for what they cost (Welsh Rarebit was £6.50), and the desk of cakes, where you pay, is too drool-worthy to turn down as a post-lunch treat.
I definitely recommend a trip out.

East London's food spots are consistently impressing me, where to next? ....M x
