    Turkish Dalston

My love of hummus knows no bounds, but upon the realisation that I'd never actually eaten at a Turkish restaurant, I felt like a fraud! This needed to be rectified quickly, and a nicely timed meet-up with my brother proved ideal. He suggested a meet in Dalston!

    21st Birthday - Part One

    Hello friends,

I don't know where to start... WOW, what a week it has been. Somehow my birthday turned in to a birthweek which was such a perfect way to turn 21 with all my wonderful friends and family around me. After the glorious Eden came over on Monday night to do Emma and my nails which you can read all about here. The week followed nicely on and you can catch up on it all this week!

The Devil is in the Details

Summer s here and London is about to start strutting it's sunny stuff (alliteration, BOOM). To make sure an ensemble is noticed we all know, the devil is in the details. Accessories can make all the different and in this post I've picked out a select few that, I think, could give any outfit that extra umph!
This hand chain is from Accessorize and it's also a total bargain at only £6. Its simple design ensures it'll compliment but never overwhelm an outfit. Here I've teamed it with some coral nail polish from Topshop, to give it that extra summer vibe.
This quirky wonder is from the phenomenal brand Mimi and Bow. I've only just become acquainted with them and their style, but already they're becoming main staples of my wardrobe. I'd consider £29.99 a solid investment for this piece which gives your outfit individuality, charm and a sense of playfulness.
Last, but never least, is this adorable necklace from Kates Little Store (which can be located on Etsy). Feminism is something all us gals should wear with pride, and this way we get to wear it fashionably too! Equal rights is complementary to every ensemble, and it's a great talking piece too!

What will you be wearing this summer?
    Lots of love.... M x

    The Nether

My lovely mother was in town today so we took a spontaneous trip to the theatre, and it could not have turned out better! We grabbed some tickets from the Duke of York's Theatre box office and settled into our seats for the Thursday matinee of The Nether.

    21st Birthday Wishlist

Hello you lovely readers! I am one of those people who are rubbish at answering the 'What do you want for you birthday?' question, as I never really know! But this year as it is my 21st I have tried to really think of what I need and like so here is a little wishlist I created:

The Olivier Awards with MasterCard 2015

This was our first official outing as 'Split The City' and what a way to start; The Olivier Awards 2015 in association with MasterCard! Held at the beautiful Royal Opera House. We knew from the moment of getting our tickets to leaving the after party it was going to be a night to remember.

    A 'London' type of weekend!

Hello there! So this weekend has been great and very Londony (I really don't think that is a word haha).

On Friday evening I did my favourite thing to do ever... went to the Theatre. I saw A View From a Bridge at the Wyndhams Theatre starring Mark Strong. It was incredible, everything about it was flawless. The entire cast were outstanding and the set design was phenomenonal. I can't recommend you enough to see it. However, I believe it has now closed at the Wyndhams Theatre but you can watch it next week as part of the National Theatre Live at cinemas across London, take a look here to find out more.

    B is For

On this day? B is for Britain and Brixton. I hit up both the Tate Britain and Brixton Market all in one day, and had a hoot (do people still use 'hoot'?).

    Lies?

So I recently visited a local restaurant - a stones throw from our apartment. Before I went there, I was really keen to blog about it, as it's trendy, reasonably priced and a great location so I was hoping to recommend it to you -  our lovely readers.  I hadn't heard that much about the restaurant however each time I walked past I was so tempted by the sophisticated look. Unfortunately I was super disappointed, so you may think why am I writing a post about a restaurant I didn't like?

    Islington Treats

With the sun shining and birds tweeting, I knew I couldn't let such a gorgeous day pass me by! Impulsively I decided on Islington, grabbed my buddy Ed, and the day was set. Our priority in choosing a cafe was two-fold; it had to look pretty and we had to be able to sit in the sun. The place that delivered? Maison d'etre.
This lovely little cafe is positioned directly opposite Highbury and Islington station. It has a diverse menu and staff that throw just the right amount of shoreditch-shade (the polite term for hipster moodiness). The interior is simple and basic, with shabby walls, floors, tables....shabby everything really. This is so no focus is stolen from the food.
I ate avocado on rye toast, with rocket, sesame seeds and lemon juice, complemented by a well made mocha. Perfect pit-stop for a sunny day. And if people watching is your thing (it is mine), it's an ideal spot as your so near the station, there's a constant stream of people Yet the dainty vibe they created here means this never feels intrusive.
Another great find in East London!

    March Favourites

It is crazy how fast 2015 is going, how is it already April? This month brings with it Nikki's 21st birthday, on the 23rd April and she  couldn't be more excited. But today we wanted to share with you our March favourites; we always love reading other bloggers post on their monthly favourites and even watching YouTube videos on it too. We are hoping towards the latter part of the year we can start filming vlogs and videos to post on YouTube!
